Usage
Some chapters allow forums to have active participants who are not part of the overseeing chapter. Unique steps must be taken to add these non-chapter members to the chapter forum, granting the CM the permission to view the person's data and update their forum membership.

Steps
Navigate to chapter forums
1. Click on Forums on the Chapter Management Hub.
2. Click on Chapter Forums.
3. Use the action button to the right of the forum name that you want to add the non-chapter member.
4. Click on Add Non-Chapter Member.

5. In the pop-up, type the member or spouse/partner's name you need to add to a forum. Click Search.
5. The system will search our database and return all active members and spouses/partners who match your search results.
6. Tick the box next to the correct person you need to add.
7. Enter the date the person started with the forum.
8. Click Add Non-Chapter Member.

You can find the new forum member on Forum Membership > Chapter Forums Members view.
Members and spouses/partners who are not members of the chapter but are participating in a chapter forum will have a tick in the Non-Chapter Member column.
Things to know
Chapter forum membership and participation is guided by your chapter forum policy.
Using the Add Non-Chapter Member process grants you permission to view and update forum data related to the contact added. This means you can add them as a forum moderator or remove them from the forum in the future.
