How to add a current or elect forum moderator to your chapter forum.

Usage

Managing your forum moderator information is important for forum health and impacts the chapter health metrics and chapter commitments. Forum moderator terms are determined by the forum.

Steps

Navigate to forums > chapter forums

1. Click on Forums.

2. Click on Chapter Forum and Select a View Chapter Forums.

Add forum moderator action

3. Locate the forum you need to update.

4. Use the drop-down to the left of the forum name and click Add forum moderator.

Complete moderator position details

5. In the pop-up window, complete:

  • Contact = member or spouse/partner in the moderator role.

  • Identification Status = Filled.

  • Status =

    • Current (if they are the current moderator).

    • Elect (if they are starting the moderator role in the future).

  • Start Date = when the moderator started the role.

  • End Date = when the moderator role will end.

6. Click Save.


Things to know

  • Forum moderator positions can have a start and end date at any time throughout the year, they do not need to follow the YPO fiscal year.

  • Forum moderator positions can also be multi-year terms.

  • Once entered, the system will update the forum moderator positions based on the start and end dates entered. They will update from elect to current and current to past.

  • Chapter forum moderator position is for all forums with a category of member, couple, and members & spouse/partner. Chapter spouse forum moderator is the position title for spouse/partner-only forums.

  • To find out which forums are missing a current moderator, go to forum moderators > chapter forums missing current moderators:
