Designing emails in Canva allows you to maintain brand consistency across your digital communications without needing advanced coding skills. This tool is ideal for creating visually stunning newsletters, marketing announcements, and internal updates that can be exported directly to your email service provider.

Test your Links: Always send a test email to yourself first to ensure all clickable buttons and links are functioning correctly.
Visual Balance: Avoid making the email one giant image; use a mix of Canva-designed headers and live text within your email provider for better deliverability and accessibility.

Steps
Choose an Email Template
1. There are 3 ways to select your templates:
a) Canva Templates
b) YPO Branded Templates
c) Empty Canva Template

2. Use the YPO Brand Kit to apply your specific logos, colors, and fonts. Drag and drop high-quality images from the Elements tab to replace placeholder visuals.

3. Highlight your "Call to Action" text or buttons, click the Link icon in the top toolbar, and enter the destination URL to make your email interactive.
Integrate with your Email Provider
4. Click Share, then select More to find integrations for platforms like Mailchimp or Gmail to send your design directly to your mailing list.
5. You can also copy code and paste on Cvent to distribute your emails.
Distributing Email via Gmail
Sending a Canva design directly to Gmail is quick and easy. You can do this by using the Share menu, connecting your Google account, and exporting as a draft.
Open your design in Canva and click the Share button in the top right corner.
Select Gmail from the list of sharing options.
Click Connect Gmail and sign in to allow Canva access to your Google account.
Select Export to Gmail, then click Continue in Gmail to open a new preloaded message draft.
Type your recipient addresses and a subject line, then click Send
Distributing Email via Cvent as Copy Code
To send a Canva email design via Cvent using copied code, generate and copy the HTML from Canva, then paste it into a Cvent email code widget.
Open your email design in Canva.Click
Share in the top right corner.
Select Copy HTML (or look under More if not immediately visible) and click Copy to clipboard once generated.
Log in to Cvent and open your event.
Go to Email > Event Emails and select or create your target email followed by design email.
Add Code widget
Drag and drop the Code widget from the visual content menu onto your email canvas.
Paste your copied Canva HTML code into the code properties panel and click Apply changes.
Preview your design, send a test email, and schedule or send it through Cvent
To send your email to an invitation list in Cvent, you must first create or import your contacts and then link them to your email distribution schedule.
Things to know
Standard Width: Most email templates in Canva are pre-set to 600px wide, which is the industry standard for optimal viewing on mobile and desktop.
Magic Write: Use Canva’s AI assistant to help draft catchy subject lines or summarize long sections of text for your newsletter.
File Size: If downloading to upload manually, choose "JPG" and set the quality to medium to ensure your email loads quickly for your recipients.
