The video editor in Canva allows anyone to create engaging video content without needing complex editing software. This is perfect for YPO event whatsapp posts, presentations, or chapter training videos where you need to combine clips, text, and audio seamlessly.

Steps
Select your video format
1. Log in to your Canva account and select the Video icon from the homepage to choose a specific format like YouTube Video or TikTok.
Choose a template or start from scratch
2. Browse the Templates tab or the YPO brand kit in the side panel to find a pre-made design or click Uploads to bring in your own footage from your computer.
Use the timeline to arrange clips
3. Drag and drop clips, photos, and music from the left side panel onto your main screen. Cut and move your clips on the timeline at the bottom of the screen to change the order.
Add text and effects by clicking the elements or text tabs on the side menu.
Add transitions and animations
4. Hover your mouse between two clips on the timeline and click the (+) icon, then select Add Transition to create a smooth flow between scenes.
Add text and music
5. Click the Text tab to add headings or captions and use the Elements tab to search for "Audio" tracks to add background music to your project.
Preview and Export
6. Click the Play button at the top right to watch your video, then select Share and click Download as an MP4 Video to save your file.
Things to know
Auto-Save: Canva automatically saves your video progress as you work.
Aspect Ratio: Always choose your format (e.g., Vertical for Reels, Horizontal for YouTube) before you start designing to avoid cropping issues later.
Beat Sync: You can use the "Beat Sync" feature (Pro) to automatically align your video transitions to the rhythm of your music.
