Voiceovers help explain content, guide the viewer, or add personality to your video. Canva lets you record directly inside the editor or upload an existing audio file, then sync it with your timeline.

Steps
Prepare your video
To add a voiceover to a video in Canva, open your video project in the editor, select Uploads or Audio from the side panel, and click Record yourself or Record voiceover to capture your audio directly.
1. Open your Canva video design.
2. Review the timeline to ensure scenes are in the correct order.
3. Adjust scene durations before recording to avoid timing issues.

4. Click Uploads in the left panel.
5. Select Record yourself.
6. Choose Audio only.
7. Click Start recording and speak clearly.
8. Click Stop when finished, then Save.
TIP: If you need a redo, delete the recording from Uploads and try again.

9. Click Uploads.
10. Upload your existing audio file, such as MP3 or WAV.
11. Drag the audio onto the timeline.

12. Trim the audio by dragging the ends in the timeline.
13. Adjust volume using the audio settings.
14. Sync key moments with the visuals.
Preview and export
15. Click Play to preview your full video with audio.
16. Adjust timing if sections feel rushed or too slow.
17. Click Share.
18. Select Download and choose MP4.
