Usage
The Canva Apps Marketplace is a hub for third-party and native AI integrations that extend the platform's capabilities. Using these apps allows you to generate unique assets, such as professional headshots, AI voiceovers, or stylized QR codes, directly within your design project.
Platform
This guide applies to the desktop browser version of Canva (Web).
Best Practices
Be Specific: When using text-to-image apps like DALL-E or Magic Media, include details about lighting (e.g., "golden hour") and style (e.g., "cinematic").
Mix and Match: Use Magic Expand to fix a photo's background first, then use Magic Edit to swap out specific details for a perfect result.

Steps
Access the Apps Marketplace
1. Log in to your Canva account and click on the Apps tab located on the left-hand side panel of the homepage or within the editor side panel.
Explore and Select an App
2 Use the search bar to find a specific AI app (e.g embed, font frames, google photos) and click on the app icon to open its description and usage options. There are currently more than 200 to 300 apps you can use. It's good to open the file of your design or production before opening the apps tab.
Integrate into your design
3. Choose Use in new design or Use in existing design to launch the app's interface directly within your workspace.
Important: Some third-party AI apps may require you to create an external account or connect an existing subscription (like D-ID or HeyGen) to access all features.
