Forums dissolve for a variety of reasons. You can use a quick action to make the updates in a snap.

Steps
How to dissolve a forum
1. Click into the Forums module
2. Navigate to Chapter Forums > Chapter Forums view and locate the forum you need to dissolve.
3. Click on the drop-down caret next to the forum name and click on Dissolve Forum.
4. Complete the fields. The End Date must be today's date or in the future*.
5. Click Save.
*If the forum dissolves in the future, the data will stay active until that end date, and the system will update automatically
Once a forum is dissolved, all members belonging to that forum will be automatically removed from that forum. Additionally, the forum account will be updated, and forum moderator positions will be moved to past.
If forum members were not active in any other forums, you will find them listed on the Pending Forum Placement tab.
Locating a dissolved forum
Navigate to Chapter Forums > Inactive Chapter Forums view to find dissolved forums or those that are pending dissolution.
Things to know
Dissolving a forum will properly update all data for that forum.
The person's member forum status will update automatically.
If they belong to another forum in YPO, their forum status will stay as "active."
If they do not belong to another forum, they will be updated as "pending placement."
