Usage
There are several reasons why a Canva invitation might not work, ranging from browser cache issues to account conflicts. Following these steps ensures you can successfully join your team and start collaborating.
Platform
This guide applies to the desktop browser version of Canva (Web) and the Canva mobile app.
Best Practice
Make sure to always check your junk email if you have received the email from Canva.
Always use a permanent work email for team invites rather than a temporary alias to avoid future login issues.
You may also use the same email login with your own personal login so that you can always switch account easily within the same window.
Steps
Check for account conflicts
1. Ensure you are logged into the correct Canva account that matches the email address where the invitation was sent. Make sure to also log off from all the account as well.
Accept via the notification center
2. Instead of the email link, log into Canva and click the Bell icon (Notifications) in the top right corner to accept the pending invite directly.
Clear browser cache or use Incognito
3. If the link leads to an error page, try opening the invitation link in an Incognito/Private window or clear your browser’s cookies and cache.
Important: Invitation links expire after a certain period or can only be used once. If your link is invalid, ask the team owner to remove your email and re-send the invitation.
Things to know
