MicroForum: How to Create a Chapter or Multi-Chapter MicroForum

Learn how to create a new MicroForum for your chapter or collaborate across multiple chapters using the MicroForum platform.

Usage

Chapter Admins (Chapter Managers) can create MicroForums directly in Forum Tracker to connect members within a single chapter or across several chapters. Multi-chapter MicroForums encourage collaboration on shared interests, industries, or challenges, while still keeping admin control clear.

Steps

  1. Complete the Microforum Details page. Click, Save & Continue.

    - Choose Chapter MicroForum Type for a single-chapter community or Multi-Chapter MicroForum if you plan to include multiple chapters.
    - Add the name and description, and select your pairing frequency.

2. Review email templates. Click, Save & Next.

3. Select between the options to add participants. Click, Save & Continue.

4. Assign a Champion and optional secondary admins. Click, Save & Continue.

5. Schedule when you would like to send your invitations.

6. Set visibility to Published (optional) and select to Send Pairings. Click, SCHEDULE.

7. Come back to adjust any of these steps.


Things to know

  • Pairing depends on mutual cadence timing.

  • Your champion will have the ability to edit after you create.

  • Your champion will partake in pairings unless they update their calendar frequency to be blocked for certain months.

  • Only the chapter manager can create new Microforums. Champions can only edit after creation.
