Usage
Canva Sheets allows you to move beyond static text by organizing data into functional tables. This is perfect for project events calendar, budget tracking, or creating data-driven infographics where you need your numbers to be as visually appealing as your design.
Platform
This guide applies to the desktop browser version of Canva (Web).
Best Practices
Use alternating row colors (zebra striping) to make large amounts of data easier for your audience to read.
Keep your tables concise; if you have hundreds of rows, it is better to link to an external Google Sheet or Excel file.

Steps
Select Sheet
1. Log in to Canva, click Sheet on the home dashboard, or use the direct Canva Sheets Hub.
Input and Format Data
2. Add data: Type directly into cells, or use the Actions menu to insert dropdown menus, calendar dates, or tag team members.
Formulas
3. Use formulas: Type an equals sign (=) inside a cell or use AI-powered magic formulas to calculate data.
Connect to Charts
4. Make charts: Highlight your data ranges to turn raw numbers into visual charts.
Download and Share
5. Download or share: Export your work as an XLSX, CSV file, or collaborate with others via a shared link.
Important: While Canva Tables look like spreadsheets, they do not currently support complex Excel-style formulas (like =SUM). They are primarily designed for data organization and visual presentation.
Things to know
Drag and Drop: You can drag to select multiple cells at once to apply bulk formatting changes.
CSV Import: You can click on a chart and select "Upload CSV" to instantly populate it with data from an external spreadsheet.
Sticky Notes: On Canva Whiteboards, you can convert a group of sticky notes into a table for better organization.
